Looking for a car wash and detailing service near you? Atelier Car Care provides a premium alternative to the standard car wash, using safe methods and professional techniques across Stamford, Cambridge, Peterborough and Rutland. Safe wash methods that protect paintwork — not the brushes and harsh chemicals of a cheap car wash.
A typical car wash uses brushes, dirty water and generic chemicals that can damage your paintwork over time. Professional detailing starts with a safe, contactless pre-wash and uses pH-appropriate products that clean without causing swirl marks or micro-scratches.
Our wash process begins with a snow foam pre-wash to loosen dirt before any contact is made with the paintwork. We then use a two-bucket method with quality wash mitts to minimise the risk of marring. This careful approach is the foundation of every service we provide, from a £60 maintenance valet to a full correction detail. The result is a genuinely clean vehicle with paintwork that stays protected rather than gradually degrading from each visit.
We cover Stamford, Peterborough, Cambridge and Rutland as our core service areas, plus the wider East Anglia region. Regular coverage includes Market Deeping, Bourne, Ketton, Tallington, Ryhall, Barnack, Great Casterton, Oakham, Uppingham, Cottesmore, Whittlesey, Yaxley, Sawtry, Oundle, Wansford, Histon, Milton, Great Shelford and Sawston. If you are within our standard service area, mobile travel is included at no additional charge.
Send a quick enquiry with your vehicle and postcode and we will confirm availability and a tailored quote.
We operate across four core service areas in East Anglia. Click through to your nearest location page for area-specific details.

Andrea ForsythYes. Professional detailing uses safe wash methods that protect your paintwork, whereas many car washes use brushes and harsh chemicals that cause swirl marks and micro-scratches over time.
A safe wash uses a pre-wash stage (typically snow foam) to remove loose dirt before any contact with the paint. This is followed by a two-bucket hand wash with quality wash mitts and pH-neutral shampoo.
Our maintenance wash package starts from £60. This includes a full safe wash process, interior clean, glass finishing and tyre dressing. More comprehensive packages are available up to £500.
Cheap hand car washes typically reuse dirty water, use abrasive sponges and apply harsh chemicals. The low price reflects the speed, not the care. The cost shows up later in paintwork damage that is expensive to correct.
With proper ceramic spray or full ceramic coating, your car will stay cleaner for longer. Many of our maintenance customers wash every 2-3 weeks rather than weekly, with no visible decline in appearance.
Our £60 maintenance valet is essentially a premium quick wash done properly. It typically takes 2-3 hours rather than 20 minutes, but the standards are completely different.
